Foggy predicts 2010 season successes
26 February 2010
Carl has gazed into his crystal ball to predict the winners of the three major road racing series.
And the three riders to gain his seal of approval are: Johnny Rea, Stuart Easton and Casey Stoner.
He said: "I think Johnny Rea could be the surprise package of World Superbikes, although it looks very open this year. But he is very fast and at an age when he is going to get faster but also more consistent. We know he can win races but he now has one more year of experience under his belt. And he has that all-important attitude of not wanting to come second.
"I have stated that Neil Hodgson has a chance of winning British Superbikes, but now I'm thinking that it might be Stuart Easton's year. He is often compared to Steve Hislop and, like Hizzy, he can be very fast on his day. Last year proved that he can be consistent - now he has to consistently run at the front and win races.
"And for MotoGP I'm not going for the soft option of Rossi. When Stoner came back from his illness last year he was almost unbeatable and he will want to win his world title of a couple of years ago back."
